[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Botox and Nuceiva are neuromodulator injection products that can reduce muscle contraction in the areas injected and result in less fine lines and wrinkles. These injections are commonly done in the forehead, glabella (eleven’s), crow’s feet, lips, and TMJ joints to name a few. The aesthetic purpose of these neuromodulator injections is to decrease the muscular pull on the skin, which can reduce wrinkles. Botox, Nuceiva and other neuromodulators can be used therapeutically for headaches, TMJ pain, and other types of chronic muscular pain.
One of my favourite parts of offering Botox and Nuveiva is working with a patient to come up with the right treatment plan for their goals. Each person has their own metabolism of the neuromodulators and their own individual muscle strength that we need to assess and then prescribe accordingly.
