Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a regenerative injection therapy the helps to treat chronic pain resulting from soft tissue damage. PRP is commonly used to treat and support the healing of ligament strains, tendinopathies, osteoarthritis, meniscus damage and other soft tissue injuries.

Dr. Barlow uses a closed loop PRP centrifuge system that produces a potent and sterile PRP sample from a simple blood draw in roughly 5-10 min. The PRP sample can then be injected into the targeted areas to stimulate the desired healing response.

Dr. Barlow’s process always starts with a thorough initial consult and physical exam. It’s very important to assess the injuries properly and identify the right treatments for each individual. This treatment plan often includes collaborating with other health professionals like Chiropractors, physiotherapist, RMT’s, and/or MDs. Most patients will prefer to have PRP treatment during the first visit once the assessment and treatment plan are designed.
